The Friends of the Pops (FOP) is an all-volunteer organization formed by Erich Kunzel in 1991 for the specific purpose of promoting and assisting the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. It is essentially a social organization that periodically sponsors fund-raising and social events that directly benefit the Orchestra both financially and promotionally. The FOP's plans for new and exciting events and fundraisers have been very successful.

Fundraisers in the past have included "Dinners Before the Pops Concerts" and an annual dinner cruise to Riverbend. Social events have included a trip to Blossom to hear Erich and the Cincinnati Pops; tours of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, the Hauck House, the Taft Museum and Spring Grove Cemetery in the spring; dinners at Henke's Winery and Forest View Gardens; volunteering at the Action Auction; and, last but not least, the annual meeting at Music Hall, followed by a tour.

Sound enticing? Join the fun by becoming a new member or by renewing your membership. Also consider volunteering on one of our committees. For more information about FOP membership, please call Ralph Berens at 513.662.6397
